SEEING ALZHEIMER'S THROUGH A SON'S EYES cosponsored by Good Shepherd Nursing Home and Altenheim Resource & Referral Services
June 20, 2016
Randy Forzano is a social worker, nursing home administrator, HR Director AND a son whose parents developed dementia. Randy will be presenting this program and will talk about how facilities need to look at who our loved ones are and the lives they led, not who they have become since developing dementia. Although Randy has vast experience in dealing with dementia as a professional, this program will touch on how dementia affects us as family members and what we can do to improve the quality of life in advocating for our loved ones.
This program will be held in observance of The Longest Day, an event of the Alzheimer's Association to increase awareness of dementia. PLEASE WEAR PURPLE TO OUR EVENT! Even if you can't attend, WEAR PURPLE on June 20 to raise awareness!
We are partnering with Good Shepherd Nursing Home to bring this program to our community, and the program will be held at Good Shepherd, 159 Edgington Lane, Wheeling WV. Randy's presentation will run from 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm, and sign in will begin at 12:30 pm.
The program is free and open to all who are interested. There are no continuing education credits for this program. Call us at 304 243-0996 or email your reservation to akoegler@frontier.com.
