So - have you? Thought about retirement housing? It's important to consider. You may be planning for retirement down the road or in the near future. Maybe you are retired and looking to make a change of location.

Thinking about the 'joys of home ownership' such as cutting grass, fixing leaks, and hvac repairs (to name but a few joys) factor in when we consider retirement housing. Are we close to medical care? Can we easily access shopping, restaurants, and entertainment? Is our neighborhood safe and "neighborly"?

Altenheim Retirement Community takes care of the grass, the leaks, and the hvac repairs. We are close to medical care. The Community is close to local shops and mid-way between the Highlands and the Ohio Valley Mall. Neighborhood restaurants are close, Lenten fish fries surround us, and the Community is just that - a Community. Many faith traditions are in the neighborhood or close.

We have eight cottages that are all single homes. They have 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, living, kitchen (equipped), and dining areas. Laundry units are provided. All have attached garages. Ask about the pet policy. There's a gazebo for the residents' use.

Do you want to spend time cutting grass, plugging leaks, or waiting for the hvac bill? Think about how you want to maximize the marbles you have left in your jar.
